Do you have any question?

  1. What is a LiFePO4 battery? How is an OKMO battery different from a lead-acid battery?
LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) is a type of lithium battery known for its high safety and long lifespan. Compared with traditional lead-acid batteries, OKMO LiFePO4 batteries are lighter, last 5–10 times longer, support deep discharges, and are environmentally friendly.
  2. How long is the lifespan of an OKMO LiFePO4 battery?
OKMO batteries are designed for 4,000–6,000 charge cycles, which translates to more than 10 years of use depending on conditions and maintenance—far exceeding lead-acid batteries.
  3. Can OKMO batteries directly replace lead-acid batteries?
Yes. OKMO LiFePO4 batteries follow standard BCI sizes, making them compatible with most 12V systems (RVs, boats, solar storage, UPS, etc.). Just ensure your charger is lithium-compatible before replacement.
  4. Can OKMO batteries work in low temperatures?
Yes. OKMO batteries feature a built-in low-temperature protection BMS. Charging automatically stops in extremely cold conditions to prevent damage. Some models include a low-temperature heating function for reliable performance in harsh environments.
  5. Can I connect OKMO LiFePO4 batteries in parallel or series?
Yes. OKMO batteries support parallel connections (increase capacity) and series connections (increase voltage). For example, 4 batteries can be connected in series for a 48V system, or in parallel for higher Ah. Please follow the user manual for proper installation.
  6. Do I need a special charger for OKMO batteries?
We recommend using a smart charger with a dedicated LiFePO4 charging mode for optimal performance. If using a lead-acid charger, make sure the charging voltage is within a safe range (around 14.4V).
  7. Are OKMO LiFePO4 batteries safe? Will they explode?
They are very safe. OKMO batteries use a highly stable LiFePO4 chemistry and advanced BMS protection against overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent, short circuits, and temperature extremes. They will not explode or catch fire.
  8. What applications are OKMO batteries suitable for?
A8: OKMO LiFePO4 batteries are versatile and suitable for:
     RVs and camping power systems
     Boats and fishing kayaks
     Solar energy storage
     UPS backup power
Golf carts, scooters, and other electric vehicles
  9. How should I store an OKMO battery for long-term use?
For storage, keep the battery at 50%–70% charge, store it in a cool and dry place (-10°C to 35°C / 14°F to 95°F), and recharge every 3–6 months to maintain optimal performance.
  10. What is the warranty policy for OKMO batteries?
OKMO offers a 5–10 year limited warranty (depending on the model) covering manufacturing defects and abnormal performance. Our technical support team ensures you can use our batteries with confidence.
